PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING IF YOU PLAN TO JOIN US:On Sunday June 1st we will be hiking the Chamisa Trail which is on the road to the Santa Fe Ski Basin.
The hike is about 5 miles round trip and is classified as an “easy” hike, but please know that it does require more effort than a neighborhood walk. We welcome anyone who is able to participate in a hike of this type.
It will likely be hot so please dress appropriately, bring plenty of water and a lunch. The hike, lunch and accompanying liturgy will take a good 4 hours depending on our pace.
More information about the trail can be found in a variety of place on the web, here’s a link to one by the USDA Forrest Service. http://www.fs.fed.us/r3/sfe/recreation/districts/espanola/trails/183_chamisa.html
If you have any questions please click on my e-mail link above.
Blessings,
Jon+
P.S. It appears that well behaved dogs are welcome on this trail. However, it may be prudent to keep dogs leashed at certain points do to trail conditions.
